We are still working on the house. Last year we painted and painted, and painted some more. We installed new wood flooring in the hallway and main bathroom. Two weeks ago Matthew and my dad installed the same wood flooring in our living room. It looks fabulous! I never thought I could be so thrilled about a floor! I am still working on the kitchen. Painting a wall is easy in comparison to the kitchen!
We also rescued a 10-week old puppy the last month of school. We named him Jack. The poor little guy is a trooper. He had a broken back leg when we found him and was tick infested. He wore his cast for a month, then contracted parvo and had to spend a few nights in the vet's office. After all of that drama, we got him neutered. Then it was Izzy's turn to get sick. She came down with kennel cough and tape worms the week after! YUCK! Finally, both dogs are doing well! Izzy and Jack are best buds. We just hope he gets a little bigger so he has a fair chance at play with Izzy. Izzy is 75 pounds and Jack is only 25 pounds! She likes to herd him around with her butt!
Aside from all of that craziness, Matthew and I got some very exciting news four days before our first anniversary. We found out via home test that I am pregnant! We are excited, a little shocked, and a bit nervous. My first prenatal appointment is August 12. By that point I will be almost 11 weeks! I never thought I'd say this, but I'm ready for that doctor's visit! We should get to hear the baby's heartbeat and hopefully he will do a sonogram so we can see the baby. I think seeing is believing! Although my morning sickness is doing a pretty convincing job! We will keep everyone updated with our excting news.
Until next time...

I love what you have done to your house so far. I only wish I could see how beautiful it looks in person. Maybe one day I will get back to Amarillo to visit : ) The wood floors are gorgeous!
